Lighter in alcohol wines have had double digit growth in the past year according to Quantium Data Analysis (November 2020) which signals consumer’s desire to moderate their alcohol consumption for health and lifestyle reasons.
“This is part of a broader trend which we anticipate continuing,” Endeavour Group, parent company of BWS and Dan Murphy’s, commercial wine merchandising manager Leigh Firkin says.
She adds that the improvements to wine-making techniques have helped enable this new wave lighter in alcohol wines which can still retain their fruit definition and authentic flavour.

Paradox
