Superhero Streamers is back – Australian creators unite to raise funds for ground-breaking cancer research

For the fourth year running, Cure Cancer’s Game On Cancer initiative is assembling Superhero Streamers of all shapes and sizes to fundraise for ground-breaking cancer research.

From Monday 1 April 2024 through to Friday 31 May 2024, creators of all kinds can sign up and help support some ‘real-life superheroes’ – the amazing Cure Cancer researchers who are working to find a cure for all different types of cancer.

This year, ASUS ROG is supporting the campaign by sponsoring a fundraising team with matched donations and contributing products as fundraising incentives. Team ROG will be captained by Game On Cancer® fundraiser Camomo_10. Additionally, other fundraising teams will be captained by Twitch Partner and avid Game On Cancer supporter LHP64D, tech creator and game streamer Nicktacula, and goto.game’s own JackHuddo. Iconic gaming organisation Ground Zero will be supporting with two of their own fundraising teams as well.

Streamers who are interested in joining Superhero Streamers and fundraising can get involved by following these simple steps:

  1. Sign up to fundraise on Tiltify between April 1 and May 31
  2. Join a fundraising team or fly solo
  3. Go live and have fun while they fundraise amongst their community

Streamers will be eligible to unlock amazing prizes when they reach different fundraising milestones:

To date, Cure Cancer’s Game On Cancer community, the leading charity initiative in the Australian games industry, has raised over AU$1.25 million for ground-breaking cancer research. Previous Game On Cancer® fundraisers have included some of Australia’s largest names in gaming like Loserfruit, Aliythia, Bajo and AussieAntics.

Game On Cancer is supported by many ambassadors across the gaming industry including hilarious, gaming community channel, Back Pocket, globally-renowned reviewer and podcaster SkillUp, Australia’s favourite cooking Twitch channel MissMollyMakes, and popular gaming personality and DLC podcast host Jeff Cannata.
