ooGee turns heads with new crush-resistant textile invention, FLEXIBRAID

ooGee, an Australian headwear brand made for the great outdoors, has added FLEXIBRAID technology so users can conveniently put their hat into a bag or compress it, knowing it’ll return to its original shape.

The first of its kind in the Australian market, FLEXIBRAID technology interlaces extruded fibres and yarns into one single, continuous braid and combines unique flexible filaments that maintain the shape of each hat regardless of wear time, storage conditions and the environment.

Available nationally in a wide range of gender-neutral styles, colours and sizes, each hat in the ooGee range is inspired by an iconic Australian location and handstitched at their West Gosford facility.

According to the Skin Health Institute, the biggest contributor to premature ageing in Australia is unprotected sun exposure. Responsible for 90% of the visible changes to the skin’s surface, photoaging is the direct result of cumulative sun damage to the dermis, and can result in dryness, irregular pigmentation, wrinkling, broken capillaries and in some cases, cancer.

The ooGee range of hats provide the ultimate protection from the sun and are rated up to UPF50+.

Approved by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), ooGee’s range of lightweight, breathable and travel-friendly hats are fitted with the brand’s discreet internal ‘ComfyFit’ headband for a secure and personalised fit.
