‘Just keep drifting’

Fortitude’s summer ale is one of the best beers I’ve had as part of the Manspace reviews. It has a light malt taste with wheat flavours and no aftertaste. The brewery website says there is a light to moderate bitterness but I was pleasantly surprised when I couldn’t taste any.

This beer is light, refreshing and dangerously easy to drink, making it perfect for summer. The Sandman Panel Van label is an added bonus.

Would I buy it again?
Definitely.

“Drift away”

Upon first sniff, the unmistakable scent of home brew is definitely the dominant aroma, which is fine, I guess. The problem I had is that it tasted like home brew, too.

Tasting like home brew, to me, is only acceptable when you have personally gone to the trouble of brewing the beer yourself and you have entered a state of denial whereby that taste is as good as any commercially-available brew on the market.

Unfortunately, when you pay for it, it tastes a bit watered down… like VB.

Would I buy it again?
Nah.

‘This is sensational!’

Pouring the beer, it looked an absolute beauty and not surprisingly, I wasn’t wrong. The malt flavour was easily consumed and it gave me a sense of escape back to the good old days of last weekend where I didn’t have to think about work.

This beer is seriously good and the guys and girls at Fortitude Brewing Company have created something nothing short of brilliant. To complement a great tasting beer, the can design would do my old man proud as it features a beach surrounding with a 1970s Holden Sandman.
This beer is fantastic and I would 100% recommend it to anyone.

Would I buy it again?
Without a doubt.
