The act of walking barefoot over hot coals has been practiced for centuries all over the world, usually as a test of faith or to measure one’s individual strength and tenacity.
While we don’t expect this one to be on top of many people’s bucket lists, it’s certainly one of those things to try before you die.
We’re not really into physics at ManSpace but heat conductivity and the science behind it has a lot to answer for when walking on hot coals is concerned. Rather than try – and fail – to explain it, we’ll let you look that one up on your own.
It is a dangerous activity and it will test your mettle so from all accounts the advice is to walk at a quick steady pace, without running and most importantly, do not stop until you’re finished. A cold bucket of water at the end might be handy too.
