In the famous words of Winnie the Pooh: “A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside.”
Now that quote is there for no other reason than to introduce honey into the review, I love this amber ale from Exit Brewing because the start of each mouthful tastes like honey. Not sweet, but definitely the taste of honey.
Exit describes the drink as having aromas of citrus zest and caramel. Caramel describes the honey taste, but once past the initial taste it morphs into a complex amber ale. In its final form, it’s an American-style beer with tropical fruit notes, citrusy flavours and doesn’t leave a foul taste leftover.
A day without a friend is more like a day without a single drop of the Exit Brewing amber ale.
