Logitech Zone 2: Headphones that mean business

0

There’s no shortage of headphones promising to help you “focus better” at work, but most of them are really just gaming cans in a business suit. Logitech’s new Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 aren’t trying to be that. These are work headphones, purpose-built for the office, engineered for the chaos of open-plan chatter and fine-tuned to keep your brain in the zone.

Let’s be honest, returning to the office hasn’t exactly been peaceful. Between the constant hum of conversation, the click-clack of keyboards, and the occasional impromptu meeting that takes place right behind you, concentration can feel like a lost art. Logitech’s latest Zone lineup aims to fix that, with adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), AI-powered mics and a level of comfort you’d normally associate with a top-tier gaming headset.

ManSpace magazine was lucky enough to get its hands on a pair, so here’s what we thought after a few weeks of use.

Escape the office noise trap

The Zone Wireless 2 ES and its wired sibling use adaptive hybrid ANC that automatically adjusts to your surroundings. Move from your desk to the break area and the system recalibrates on the fly, saving you from fiddling with settings.

Two AI-powered microphones actively cancel out background noise, filtering out everything from gossip two desks over to the rumble of a passing trolley. On the other end, your colleagues hear your voice clearly, no more apologising for background noise during calls.

Certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, these headsets play nicely with whatever platform your workplace prefers. The wireless version even supports native Bluetooth call control, meaning you can ditch the dongle entirely if you want to free up a USB port.

Built for long workdays

One of the biggest surprises with the Zone 2 is just how comfortable it feels. Logitech borrowed design cues from its gaming division, and it shows. The padded head strap distributes pressure evenly across your head, the earcups swivel to match your shape, and the reversible mic boom makes it equally friendly for left- or right-handed wearers.

The wireless model’s battery life is impressive, up to 20 hours of talk time or 25 hours of listening with ANC enabled.

A bit of personality in your work gear

Headphones might not seem like a personal statement, but Logitech’s trying to change that. Available in rose, off-white and graphite, the Zone 2 looks as good as it performs. They’re not flashy, but they add just enough style to stand out from the sea of basic black headsets in most offices.

Through the Logi Tune app, you can personalise everything from ANC levels to EQ profiles, and even manage charging behaviour. It’s a subtle reminder that this isn’t a one-size-fits-all headset, it’s tuned for how you work.

The verdict

The Zone Wireless 2 ES and Zone Wired 2 aren’t about audiophile bragging rights or cinematic soundscapes. They’re tools that are built to make the workday smoother, quieter and more comfortable.

If your home or office is a constant battle against distraction, these might just be the most productive investment you make all year.
