Get that post-dentist feel without the itchy nose

Ordo, a UK-based oral hygiene manufacturer, has released the Ordo Sonic+ electric toothbrush in Australia, giving Aussies the chance to get their hands on the premium electric toothbrush.

The ManSpace magazine was lucky enough to try out the unit and it was a refreshing, sleek change to other toothbrushes on the market.

As the name suggests, it’s a sonic electric toothbrush so it doesn’t just rotate a brushing head from side to side, it uses advanced sonic technology to pulse the head 40,000 times per minute.

I struggle with electric toothbrushes. For some reason, they make my nose really itchy and I go through phases where I force myself to put up with the itch because I know they’re really good for my teeth. And then there are some phases where I just go to the old faithful.

With the Ordo Sonic+, I don’t have that issue at all and I can comfortably get that post-dentist clean feel with no drama.

When it comes to the toothbrush, it has all the regular bells and whistles. It has an inbuilt two-minute timer with a quad-pacer, meaning it pulses stronger every 30 seconds to remind you to move onto a different quarter of your mouth.

It also has a handy LED indicator to remind you when the battery is getting low. Ordo says the battery lasts for over four weeks on one charge and while I’ve been using the brush for more than four weeks, I always put it back in its charging dock, so I’ve never actually seen the low-charge indicator.

But if you’ve used an electric toothbrush, you’ve seen those features. Where this sleek little unit sets itself apart is with the customisable brushing modes. Users can flick between ‘Clean’, ‘White’, ‘Massage’ and ‘Sensitive’ to focus on whatever they prefer.

For my short-term use, I can only speak to the ‘Clean’ and ‘Massage’ modes, and they were both great. I can have sensitive gums sometimes and the massage mode helped there, going easier on the gums. While I preferred to use the regular setting when I could, it’s nice to know that the other option was there.

It’s a welcome addition to my bathroom and I’m so happy I’ve found a toothbrush that feels great.

But don’t just take my word for it, the Ordo Sonic+ is now available in Australia from a range of popular retailers in an assortment of contemporary colours including Pearl Violet, White/Silver, Rose Gold, Mint Green, and Charcoal Grey. And if you’re not happy with the result, it comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee.
