Johnnie Walker has released two limited-edition spirits, the exclusive John Walker & Sons King George V Lunar New Year Limited-Edition and new Johnnie Walker Blue Label Lunar New Year Limited-Edition.
The two are right in time to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Ox.
First up, the John Walker & Sons King George V Lunar New Year Limited-Edition is a rare combination of exquisite Scotch whiskies, drawn from extremely rare, precious casks, including irreplaceable whiskies from the now silent distillery of Port Ellen.
It’s an elegantly rich and creamy whisky that has precious rarity reflected in every drop. The bottle’s bespoke artwork is a modern take on traditional Chinese patterns and design, inspired by Asian couture.
The second release, the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Lunar New Year Limited-Edition liquid is designed and illustrated beautifully by award-winning Chinese artist Shirley Gong. In the illustrations, the ox is honoured for its majesty as a symbol of prosperity and growth, poised high above mountain clouds representing longevity. The visuals are completed with celebratory lanterns and cherry blossom, signifying good fortune in the year to come.
The designs are paired by the rare whiskies and two centuries of whisky craft that help to create the rich fruity flavours, perfectly balanced smoke and remarkable depth of character found in every bottle of the velvety smooth and vibrant Johnnie Walker Blue Label.
Both bottles are available for purchase at Dan Murphy’s, BWS, Costco and independent bottle shops/retailers while stocks last.
