Meet the AirFly Pro 2, an updated wireless audio adapter designed to let travellers connect their Bluetooth headphones to in-flight entertainment systems without using wired airline earbuds.
Do your ears ever start to hurt from the headphones that the airline gives you to watch movies with? It’s an excruciating experience, especially when your Bluetooth headphones (and probably their active noise cancellation) are sitting right there. But you can’t, the screen’s just too small for those long-haul flights.
Well, fear not any more, this ingenious device from Twelve South fixes exactly that issue.
The AirFly Pro 2 also extends beyond travel use, allowing wireless headphones to connect to equipment such as gym treadmills, older stereo systems and legacy audio devices with a headphone jack. It can also switch to AUX-IN mode, enabling users to stream audio from a phone to a car stereo or other compatible system.
Among the updated features in this second release are dedicated pairing buttons, physical volume controls, support for connecting two sets of wireless headphones to one device and more than 25 hours of battery life via USB-C charging.
