Junipalooza, thepremier gin festical is the brain child of Emile and Olivier Ward of the Gin Foundry in the UK, where the show has been running for 6 years.
In 2016 Caroline Childerley, founder and editor of The Gin Queen, Australia’s largest website devoted to gin, approached them to bring their event to Melbourne.
Running on 26 & 27 October 2019, this year will be the 4th event in Melbourne and due to overwhelming success, will be moving to Central Pier in Docklands.
The event prides itself on its ‘Meet the Maker’ ethos, meaning only brands able to send their distillers and/or owners to the event for the whole weekend are able to attend. This means guests get to meet the creators of their favourite gins. The majority of brands are based in Australia, but the event does welcome several international brands too.
This year Ki No Bi gin from Japan and Hernö from Sweden will be joining Junipalooza.
There are 3 sessions – Session 1: 11-3pm on Session 2: Saturday, 4-8pm Saturday and Session 3:11-5pm Sunday.
Session 2 has completely sold out and there a few remaining tickets for sessions 1 and 3.
