In 2008, Void introduced itsfirst V01 digital LCD stainless steel watch in a batch of 500 pieces. Following a very positive reception, an updated version was launched – the V01EL (EL stands for “electro luminescent”) that included a backlight, something they didn’t have the budget for in the original production run.
The V01 has since become Void’s best-known style. Its clean lines and modern aesthetic were a breath of fresh air in a watch market dominated by luxury Swiss-made timepieces and cheaply made, mass-market productions.
The story of the V01 is one of a small, design-led Scandinavian brand making its mark at a time when there were very few independent watch brands.

Now the time has come to revisit this iconic timepiece. A fresh take on a classic model, the V01 Mark II stays true to the watch’s original concept but with a number of significant upgrades. The latest iteration of the V01 comes in three case colours – black, steel and gold and the cases are thinner than its predecessor – 8.4mm instead of 9.7mm.
A sand blasted surface treatment gives the case a sophisticated, matte appearance. Sapphire crystal provides greater resistance against scratches and protection to the crisp, high contrast LCD display underneath. Elevated detailing include premium grade Italian leather straps with calf leather lining and custom-made stainless steel buckles. Improved water resistance up to 5 ATM / 50 M means greater performance and protection against the elements.
